Tantr Sangam – A Union of Hands, Heritage, and Modern India

Our first women’s wear collection, Tantr Sangam, is an expression of balance between tradition and modernity, between heritage and design. At Ra Bazaar, we create artisanal wear for today’s generation, where simplicity carries the legacy of India.

For this collection, we worked with Ajrakh, a centuries-old hand block printing technique made using natural dyes. Every motif carries stories passed down through generations of artisans. We collaborated with Sahil Khatri, an artist from the Khatri community, who continues his family’s legacy with a modern vision. His craft speaks of patience, kindness, and deep cultural memory.

We spent time with Sahil in his workspace, listening to his stories how Ajrakh survived through time, how it continues to live through hands like his. Working with him reminded us that fashion is not just fabric; it’s continuity.

Tantr Sangam is built around three pieces that bring together India’s finest materials yesraw silk, Chanderi, and handloom cotton. Each piece celebrates unity: of past and present, of people and purpose.

The collection was photographed in one of Pune’s oldest spaces of craft, Tambat Ali, where artisans have been shaping copperware for centuries. Their timeless touch inspired us to portray this as a new chapter in brown history, one that honours craft and carries it forward with confidence.

This is the beginning of our journey, a celebration of craft, connection, and courage.
